A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a typographical error. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving lots of unsolicited emails, but this problem can be fixed using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also vital to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox easily in case you have a hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet exceptionally intuitive, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll find a small "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will enable the feature, clicking it once more will disable it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in your account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a small-size symbol conveniently located right next to each of them. With only a mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the context menu that will come into view. If any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
